Barnacle Geese Jude and Aidan |

Kimie and I purchased Jude and Aidan in January
of 2009, from a woman in Delaware. They are temporarily sharing a
pen with the European Shelduck, the
Call Ducks, and the
Mandarins. Since Jude broke her left wing when she was younger and had to have part of it removed-grounding her-a special permit was issued, which I have, in order to keep her and her mate, Aidan. |

Barnacle Geese breed along the Northeast coast of
Greenland and Norway among the craggy rocks or on cliffs or islands,
laying an average of four to six eggs. Their winter migrations take them to Ireland and the Inner and Outer Hebrides of Scotland. |
