AUGUST 17, 2010
~On August 26th, Bruce and I adopted a five year
old Cane Corso Mastiff. She is wonderful, and has already won our
hearts. Her name is Kachina.
~Congratulations to Phil and Michelle on their wedding. A great
ceremony, lots of friends, fun and food.
I've got lots of new photos and I'm going to make an attempt to update my
webpage, so please bear with me. Thanks.

JULY 14, 2010
~ Sorry that It's been awhile since I've updated
my webpage. It was a hard, busy winter, followed by my knee replacement
in May, but hopefully in the next few weeks I can catch up on things.
~ I stayed at Kelly's during my knee recovery, and it was nice spending
the time together. In fact, Kelly and I got along quite well as room
mates. Bruce would come over in the evening for dinner after he fed up
all the critters, and sometimes stay for awhile. I had a nice room
looking out over the pasture where I could watch
Llarry Llama,
Hota, Anhah,
Shadow and
Vera. Often in the morning, Llarry
would come over to the fence, and part of my therapy would be to walk
over and feed him carrots.
~I moved back home on Monday, but it is difficult being here because,
for the first time in my life, I am without a dog as a companion. Our
beloved Kiowa died in June. And I am really
missing her. She went everywhere with me, even to work at Thornmar.
~ The winter was a rough one on all of our critters, and unfortunately,
we lost our little Bull, Luta; our
young buck, Ranger; Silas, our 6
month old pot belly pig; and
Cowboy, our Black
Shouldered Peacock. But things are going really well now, and I have
lots of new critters and photos to post.
~ Our miniature cows, Kayla and Bella, delivered beautiful, healthy
calves in the last six weeks. Moms and babies are doing well.
~ Just
returned from a nice visit with my parents in Florida. And for those of
you who ask me why I would go to Florida in the middle of summer ~ well,
while the weather was a scorching 102 degrees in Maryland, it was only
92 in Sebastian, with a nice ocean breeze.
~ SOOO glad to see the rain. Our pastures had all shriveled to brown,
and now there are new sprouts of green. Yea!!!!!!
~ Today is Bruce's birthday, and as of yesterday, I am now officially a
Senior Citizen. LOL!!!
