LIGHT BRAHMA CHICKENS

I purchased four Light Brahma chickens from Clint Walker on September 4, 2008, two hens and two roosters.

At only two months old, they already tower over the Silkies and the game hens, but they are extremely docile and show no interest in bullying their smaller companions.

Brahmas originated in the United States, but were named for the Brahmaputra River in India. They were developed by crossing Chinese Shanghai chickens with Chittagongs. They are one of the largest breeds of chickens, and are known for their large brown eggs.  They are hardy in both the heat and cold.
