SMOKEY BEAR

Bear was a rescue and came to live with us during September of 2007. My friend MaryLou and I found Bear in a parking lot in Harrington, Delaware. It was 95 degrees and humid. He was dehydrated and covered in what appeared to be motor oil. I drove him to my vet and we cleaned the majority of oil from his eyes and ears, then I took him home and bathed him. After several weeks of cleaning and medicating his ears, brushing the oil stains from his teeth, and spending some quiet time with him, Bear has turned out to be a wonderful animal.	Bear, approximately three to four weeks old.
	Bear remained in the house through the winter, and in May we released him to the barn.
