In December of 2008 the Indigo Room was the home of the
Peacocks, the Ring Neck Pheasants, the Bobwhite Quail, and the Golden
Laced Polish and the Aracaunas chickens. In January, Gracie and Gunther, our Australian Black Swans, were moved inside. |

I wanted to make the Aviary as natural a habitat as I could, so after Christmas when several of our friends and neighbors donated their Christmas trees, I went to work decorating and landscaping. After Gracie and Gunther finished building their
nest, I moved the Ringneck Pheasants, the chickens, and
Pejuta into
other areas of the Aviary. |
