Winkin, Blinkin and Nod were purchased on July 2, 2008.
Blinkin is a male, and Winkin and Nod are females. When we purchased them they were smaller than our Mallards, but after two months, they have grown to nearly twice the size of their companions. |

Freedom Afloat on The Sassafrass River |

On November 6, 2008, Kimie and I took Winkin, Blinkin and
Nod down to the river and set them free. |
| They were so excited with their new home that they dove and splashed, and flew small circles, skimming the water. |

The following afternoon I went down to the river and was
pleased to see them paddling along the river's edge not far from where
we had released them. The happy trio. We wish them the best and hope that they remain safe, and healthy. |
